I think my favourite consonant is the unaspirated voiceless alveolar stop, i.e. "t", if you pronounce it the way it is in Malay, or in my 'Teng', or in a word like 'stand' (where it's in a consonant cluster and morphs from the standard English aspirated "t"), or the "d" in Hanyu pinyin. I think I like it because it's a litle foreign to native English speakers who haven't grown up learning a language that includes it, just like the German "ch" is a bit exotic to Malaysians (I think).

Edited - thanks to Andrew for cathing my inaccuracy. The aspirated 'd' (which is voiced) is pretty interesting too...

To be slightly more specific - the unaspirated voiceless alveolar stop (otherwise the voiced "d" would be in the same grouping).
My favourite sounds are any made when air is going in instead of out, found in some languages of Africa. I suppose I like what I can't do. :P
