Eclectic

I have a bunch of different things to say today. The first would be that it's now easier for me to upload pics cos i just dlded the Flickr plugin to iPhoto, so it just takes a few clicks to upload stuff to my Flickr photo page which is conveniently located right here: My Flickr photos

Next, I should project my ecstatic impressions of the Berkshire Symphony - I think this is seriously the best orchestra I've ever played in. We only had a string rehearsal, but people really respond fast to each other and to the conductor, who is pretty cool too. Generally clear with his beats and he's easing us into the music for now, which is nice. We really need to work on music ourselves though - only 4 rehearsals left till concert day in 3 weeks. After that it's another 3 week prep for the next concert, and then finally a rest till next year. I think the small size works well with the hall - it's really boomy but with less players things in other sections are more audible. This should be fun!

Well, I said I had a bunch of things to say, but really now I don't have anything, so you'll have to put up with ramblings. To start with, I think I need to be kept on a busy schedule pretty much all the time. Having reading period to relax was kinda nice but I got bored after I got all my work done - probably the first time since I've been here. Then again I should just find things to stimulate myself really. Shouldn't depend on schedules.

Went through a few moments of nostalgia in the afternoon. Partly triggered by hearing from people at home, partly by my compiling a couple of slideshows of party and beach photos. Slightly sad knowing that with everybody dispersed and with different calendars it will be hard to have everybody around to do stuff even when I come home. Not that we did as much together as we could have in the last couple of months... :^P But nonetheless it was nice to know that people were around, if not always available. Still, most of us are in touch via various media, so different from how things used to be.

So, you get another look at my nostalgic desktop:
