Friends

Well now. Saturday night was interesting indeed. I was thinking about it and I think it shows up the changes my life has taken in the last two years rather well. Even the last 8 months! I'm making these statements based mostly on the cast but also partly on my behaviour. Heheh. What are these changes? Let's see... partly it was my improved social capacity, helped considerably, I believe, by my short stint at Uplands, sadly unrepresented due to my friends from there being gainfully occupied, as opposed to my 'wild abandon'. I think the Uplanders also were involved with the wild abandon bit. A lot of my inhibitions have been softened. And it didn't involve alcohol! That came much later. My neglect of some friends at my New Year's Eve party also kind of improved my treatment of friends this time around. Sorry for those of you who attended both! Are you proud of me? :P

Anyway. Thanks to everybody who attended, and I'm sorry those of you who weren't able to couldn't. Particularly a pair of guys who've never missed any of my parties for close to a decade (One of them actually more than a decade!) On the other hand I am really glad some of you could - especially one who's been unable to come the last 3? times I've invited her :P and another with whom I was temporarily estranged. Wonderful that our friendship has been restored.

Umm... what else? It's fairly obvious how much my social network has expanded sinc I left PFS. Even without Uplands friends, it was obvious that I've come to know a lot of people whose names alone I knew two years ago. I attribute that to my friends having more parties and my being able to get around (say driver's license). The usual suspects were actually in the minority... only admittedly that was due to 2 being away.

I really don't understand myself. I get so vague and mysterious. Oh well. No prizes to whoever fills in all the names. =P I'm not as rich as that. Do try though!
