STILL without motivation to do much of any use. But before all that, here's a little something to cheer you up.
OK I always promise photos and I rarely deliver. :p Last night my internet got screwy. Strange how that happens when I'm not in the mood to do stuff. But it happens when I am in the mood to do stuff too. Sheesh. What a load of BS. Anyway I'm in the process of trying again.
You're in luck. the photos uploaded. Firstly, since they're later and they're on this computer I'll let you see the photos from lunch about a month ago first. They are:
1. A shot of 2 people with good lighting
2. Aren't they cool and colourful? No they're rather hot actually.
3. Butchered!
4. More butchering...
5. This needs lots of attention.
6. Ooh! Look!
7. Who needs good lighting when you have PHOTOSHOP?
8. Half empty? Or...
9. We loves people who wash dishes for us, yes we does!
10. Lamb 'promotional' pic (Yes, Pin. It's up!)
11. End product... NOT!
Actually the end product was six fed people and an empty pot. And something like 70 photos courtesy of Pin.
Right let's see... recent events. I was asked on Thursday to play on Saturday, found out on Friday that it was for French Arts Festival Fete de la Musique. Was not totally ashamed of myself on Sat, despite maybe 3 hours' practice in all? Nothing ambitious anyway. Irina played well though - the Spring (Beethoven's) was pretty good. Due to this I was driving up and down Pg Island all day. Once in the morning to practice at Uplands, once in the afternoon to perform and again at night to attend graduation dinner.
About Graduation, well, I hoped it was going to be a most memorable and fully enjoyable occasion. I wasn't disappointed on one count. I'm not likely to forget the (male) cabaret teachers in drag. Oh yes. Thank you Messrs H, M, C, P and M. I wish a bit more had been shaven though. Shudder. We should have been informed about the 'upside down carrot' theme though. Others might have turned out in more themed attire. Oh well. Too late.
Advice to the MCs, you should have saved it till the end to tell us it was unscripted. The word is excuse. Points for honesty though, especially the stuff about how disorganised the whole thing was. Well, to be fair it was only lateness and the initial failure of the projector. Big thanks to Faizal and the rest of the team who did the slideshow. Some really nice shots! Congrats to Seijiro on the best dressed prize. :D *bows*
The dancing was somewhat embarassing - most people were taking photos and waiting to run off to clubs. Those of us (that's right, US!) out there on the dance floor were a rather pitiable sized group.
Things I could have done without: having a date who was rather embarassed to ask me in the first place and then spent the rest of the night with another guy first due to another friend wanting to take my place at the table, which I didn't really mind, and later for undisclosed reasons. Verbally at any rate. Not that I was taking the date business seriously and maybe I deserved it for that, but considering that a certain person was acting hurt that I admitted I wasn't too serious, she could have at least made a better attempt at pretending. Yeah I know I sound a little more offended than I really am. Small thing anyway, no point raising a fuss about.
There was also the business of people wanting to go clubbing across the street, my reluctant agreement since I had to send certain people home (plural here), them not knowing how much it cost, nor bringing enough (any?) money, and finally deciding not to go in, standing around not knowing what to do until some 'subtle' encouragement was given. At which point we adjourned to Soho's, ordered more drinks than were wanted, and ended up donating some to other people. At least one particular friend was very happy, should I say ecstatic, before we had to bundle her up and take her home, without waking up the neighbours or the brother. Just as well I stayed. How come I always have to drive the drunks? (ok, only twice) :p Ended up sending everyone but two back either to home or to pick-up points. Apparently those staying over at el tipsy's place had some laughs, as did the taxi crew, i.e. me, Choon and Pum. Arrived home late. Wanted hair to dry but nobody online and too lazy to blog so I ended up watching FMP. Weird huh?
I should not be chastised for drinkin gand driving because I only drank a sip of beer and 2 of blue marguerita. For safety against breathalyser, I followed up with 'limau ais' from "Restoran Sup Hameed" next door. Wasn't breathalysed. :D Toodles for now.
Apologies for the slight incoherence. I don't know why it is so.
