The first few days of coming back home after a holiday are always tough. I don't feel that consciously but it seems my subconscious feels that way - I have not had an easy last few days. Part luck, part clumsiness. I managed to slice my thumb - lifted a thin flap of skin, nothing serious - opening fresh oysters for people to eat. That was sunday evening. Later that night, the car battery was dead, preventing us from going for supper :( Yesterday I went for a haircut and fell rather pathetically, skinning my shin and a spot near my wrist. Add the Streamyx downtime and you have my life.
NO it's not really been that bad! I've been having fun around my cousins from Singapore - seen almost all the family within a week. Went flute-shopping for my cousin, bugged another, ate various peoples' cooking but I don't have a huge Penang food craving. Check this time next year.
I will at some point over the next few days
- Clear up my IB mess
- Post selected photos of trips and of lunch some time back (I'm sorry Pin!)
- Settle passport and US visa
- Pick a new history course snce the prof tells me there's no space in the tutorial
- Write thank you notes to various people
- Apply for AMCHAM-MACEE scholarship in competition once more with David and Yiwen (Better the chances of an IB grad getting it :p Yah I'm not so altruistic I'm afraid)
