Waiting

Hmm, my first 3 waitlists. Actually 2 were yesterday and one was today. Anyway Carleton, Brandeis and Wesleyan are keeping me breathless to find out if someone will turn down an offer that I may receive one. Not true - I''m not particularly keen on the first two, and I'm sure that whoever received the Freeman Scholarship will think twice before turning it down. As I would have. But I would haev thought, as opposed to immediately accepting it. In any case my position is stilll more secure than others... whereas certain parties have nothing firm yet. Damn, I hope they aren't left high and dry.

For that matter, Williams is still keeping me waiting for finaid. Vassar's finaid has come through, quite a reasonable sum. Also waiting for the 7 remaining decisions, 5 of which I will have by tomorrow morning. Ooh, how nice! I'm physically capable of crossing 6 pairs of digits (you do the math) so that suits me till tomorrow morning!
